Travel Vaccinationsglobal air travel

If you are travelling at very short notice (within 2 weeks) you may need to attend one of the local pharmacies who offer specialised travel clinics. It is advisable to have your vaccinations 6-8 weeks in advance of travel. Although we offer travel clinics, we may not be able to provide appointments within 2 weeks of travel.

You will need to complete a travel questionnaire which you can collect from the Surgery or download and print from the link below.  After you have submitted your questionnaire, please book a telephone appointment with the nurse in one of our Travel Advice Phone Clinics, these are on a Tuesday afternoon between 14:30 and 15:00. Once the nurse has provided you with advice, she may ask you to book into a Travel advice and Vaccination appointment, these are on Thursday mornings between 11:00 and 11:40. If you are unable to make the appointment times listed, the local pharmacies may be able to assist you.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.  You will be advised of any charges prior to your appointment.

Not all travel vaccinations are available at Manor Street Surgery.  Therefore these will need to be obtained elsewhere.

There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
